Tailtiu Languages is an Irish-managed company which has been teaching English to speakers of other languages since 2007. We offer courses and language services to students in various aspects of English language. Tailtiu also has a language blog here on the website with articles on the learning process.
Teacher Development at Tailtiu Languages
We also have a sister website, https://teacherdevelopment.tailtiu.org, which is specifically to build a language-teaching community, swapping ideas and methodologies with other teachers, as well as providing some information and material on wellbeing at work in the teaching world, both online and face-to-face.

We have another sister website, https://travelling.tailtiu.org, which is a travel and culture blog-azine. Some of the articles on Travelling Tailtiu will be coming in the near future with language exercises. Learning materials and activities
We provide learning materials and exercises based on the Tailtiu and Travelling Tailtiu language blog articles to students on our courses. Tailtiu encourages the learners to participate actively through comments on the articles and engage with our social media campaigns.
We believe that professionals, business people, exam students and academics like to think about other things apart from work. While our English-language courses have a strong focus on the professional or academic objectives of our students, we like to provide everyone with articles of interest from all topics. It is also interesting to think that exactly the same grammatical, lexical and discursive systems operate in both the formal and informal situations that we engage in every day. Of course, we also have advice on learning in the language blog.
Who was Tailtiu?
Tailtiu takes the company name from an Irish woman of mythology who was a chieftain and associated with agriculture, which was a dominant industry in Ireland until quite recently and continues to have a strong cultural influence. We hope to continue the Irish tradition of hard work and adventure as we engage with clients internationally, engage with global cultures and integrate the learning process into the daily professional lives and interests outside of work and academic study.
